The Old Town becomes a single art gallery

Once a year, the city is elivened by a variety of artistc events during the Long Night of Art: from art exhibitions of all kinds to readings, musical performances and theatre performances, everything is on offer. The old town itself, with its unique architecture, is illuminated in an imaginative, sometimes bizarre and mystical way. There will be stilt walkers in the alleys and a fire dance show lights up the night sky over Bad Wimpfen. A stroll with rest at different places, which are not accessible on normal days, shows Wimpfen in a completely special light.

The citizens of Wimpfen welcome their guests and “pronounce” their invitation by placing chairs in front of their houses to linger and chat. They invite the guest: “Let the people, let the city and the lights work on you!” This wonderful gesture is stimulated by the committed volunteers of the project group “City of 1000 Chairs”. Wimpfen is open and welcomes its guiests in its own way.
